Unfortunately, In this thing we call life, I am certain you have probably experienced your fair share of rejection. You could have faced rejection from a job, love, friendship, or even church or societal cliques. Whatever it was, we have all felt the shame and disappointment that comes with being overlooked, turned down, or picked on. However, there are many ways we can cope with any kind of rejection we are facing in life.

Here are 3 Key Scriptures that you can meditate on to overcome rejection.

 Matthew 11:28

says that Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Gods desire is to heal His people from hurts past and present caused by rejection. He wants you to know He will never leave, forsake nor reject you. He loves you. It is important to take some time out to process emotions and feelings towards whatever is happening or has has happened in your life and weighing you down due to the rejection you maybe facing or have faced.

We often forfeit peace and needlessly bare pain simply because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.

1 Corinthians 1:27 – 29

says that God purposely chooses the weak and foolish things of the world to confound the wise.

So, while the world maybe looking on the outside appearance or at what materialistic things you can offer them in order for them to accept you, God is looking at you inward out. He is saying to you come as you are because I am not interested in a perfect specimen. Isn’t it Amazing that He can take someone who doesn’t have it all together to confound the wisdom of the wise.

So, the next time others try to make you feel unworthy, rest assured that He really loves you.

1 Peter 5:7

Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.

Don’t lose your identity during this tumultuous time, remember that your identity is in Christ alone. Don’t let all your feelings and sadness be bottled up inside of you. Call up God and cast all your burdens and cares on Him. Speak over yourself, and encourage yourself by meditating on His word and allowing Him to minister to you. Encouragement devotionals will also help lift your spirits.
