There is nothing worst in life than going about feeling like you have many unanswered questions lingering about. To be honest it downright feels like you’re carrying a load. Everyone wants to feel complete and whole, no one wants to go around feeling like there are many blanks that need filling in in their life. I remember years ago when I was in a season of How, When, and Why and then when that extended to should’ve, would’ve and Could’ve’.
I really wanted to question God but could not bring myself to do it because though I felt let down I couldn’t help but ask myself whom had really let who down. But it was just for a season and like all seasons, it was simply that and it passed with the reassurance that;
When God’s word says in Jeremiah 29:11
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
It literally simply means exactly that. Because everything you will go through in your life will serve its purpose.
1: FOR MY GOOD – FOR HIS GLORY!
I have always loved singing a song that goes “For my good, for His glory” I don’t remember where i heard it but its stuck with me over the years because one of the things I have come to realise is that in the good plans God has for us, we will go through storms. However, the storms we go through in life have a funny way of propelling us to our purpose/destiny. I also firmly believe that when we understand the nature of the season, purpose is easily executed. So no matter how rough the sea may get, remember its for your Good. When you don’t understand the season, its okay to reason with God and ask him for clarity, because when you arrive to a place of understanding, then God gets the Glory because it becomes easier to represent what the kingdom represents and the assignment becomes easier.
2: GOD ACTUALLY DOES CARE!
I know sometimes this seems hard to grasp especially in those moments when you’re going through and simply don’t know what to do and are in need of answers, the last thing you need is what appears to be like a deaf God. However, even when the fire gets too hot, He is right there with you. Just because it seems like He is not hearing you does not mean He is absent. He is that ever calm in the storm. God cares and He’s always there watching over you and me. I have come to the conclusion that, sometimes the best answer we can get from Him at certain points in our life is that quietness because if not careful, we may not like the answer. So just because he seems quiet it doesn’t mean He is not present. Be patient!
3: MORE THAN ABLE
Lastly, God is more than able to do exceedingly, abundantly, and above all you could ask or think. I know it sounds so cliched right? But I say this not religiously but as someone who has actually experienced Gods word working in my life exceedingly, abundantly and above all I could ask or think. Psalm 84:11 talks about God not withholding good things from us if we walk uprightly. I have experienced Gods favour in ways unimaginable. I know sometimes we think we know best and have all the answers and can fix all the jigsaw puzzles. However, when we get to a place where we truly and totally surrender to Him and understanding that we don’t always have the full nor see the bigger picture because of our limited vision this is where he meets us.
When you get to a place of knowing that God has your best interest and holds your world in His hands, you will never have reason to question him because everything will begin to make sense to you.
