Life should not have to be confusing nor complicated, but we often make it that way with the choice or chances that we daily make and take.  However, it is possible to eliminate certain habits and in the process to implement some small doses of mindset shift and positive change. What sort of habits within your lifestyle are contributing to the chaos and confusion you are going through? Well, I have gathered some of the most common things you will realise that you do knowingly or unknowingly on a daily basis that help complicate and  cause confusion in your life. So start by removing these 4 bad habits one by one, and you can look forward to better days. I know habits are hard to break therefore no need to pressurise yourself; start gradually, and you will notice a positive change in your mood and state of mind.

1 – Who Are You?

In a world of digital overload where we are constantly seeking a sense of belonging and approval from others, it is so easy to become lost and therefore lose sense of purpose and identity. Many of us have allowed ourselves to feel validated by the number of likes or shares we get that we are constantly dissatisfied if we do not get praise from others.

Well, learn to BREATHE AGAIN! Look, Its okay to be you and not perfect for the world all the time. You don’t have to prove a point to anyone but yourself. Live out loud and proud but for you and not the Jones’. Enjoy every single day and be content in knowing that not everyone has it together always. If you don’t quickly accept this fact, not only will life pass you by, but you will forever be unhappy and constantly stressed. So to simply put it: BE YOU!

2 – Stop Procrastinating!

Procrastination is the Mother of all diseases. Your inability to stop making excuses is allowing you to be confused and therefore causing all manners of complications in your life. Start being productive and you will begin to have a sense of purpose and you will notice your spirit will lift and there will be a shift in your life. Whilst it is important to get rest, laziness just won’t do. Laziness complicates your life a lot more than you think. So find something you’re passionate about and give it a go.

3 – Why Worry?

When I was a child my Mother always sang this song to us;

“Why do you worry when you can pray, trust in Jesus and he will be your guide…..”

Luke 12:25-26 New International Version (NIV)

“25 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life[a]? 26 Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?”

It is useless to worry about things out of your control, it just adds to the confusion. Try focusing on your present and every beautiful moment it holds. Cherish those moments and forget worry. Today will never come back, don’t waste it.

4 – The Past

I believe there is a valid reason why the past is the past and behind us. I also believe there is a reason we walk boldly forward ever and backwards never. Show me a sane person who walks back to front and remains not confused; I believe that is impossible. My point simply put is that, the past is that for a reason, leave it where it belongs. Accept and own your NOW!

Let your past serve as a valuable book, chapter, course or lesson into the NEW and Now you are walking into.

Hello, Hope. Bye Bye Confusion!
