I know others are thinking “what’s so special about it, it’s just another new year”. Well, let me stop you right there because It is not just another year. This year is glorious and God is doing a new thing.

Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland.
Yes the winds of politics are shifting gears in many nations and things seem uncertain for many, but rest assured that it is well. I know the economy is not steady and your finances currently may seem to be in the wilderness but God is saying to us that He is making a way.
I want you to be encouraged and know that it is well. How do I know that it is well? Ok let’s begin by looking back at the past year and see the many experiences good and bad, we have faced and yet came out victoriously.
We have to get ready to change our perception this year in order to come out stronger, because how we see things will determine our victories or downfalls. Everything that we will face this year good or bad will be a stepping stone to help us grow but most importantly a step towards our place of destiny.
Isaiah 58:11 reads;
11 The Lord will guide you always;
he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
like a spring whose waters never fail.
I absolutely LOVE this scripture because it sums up everything I have said above.
“We will be like a spring whose waters never fail.”
Though we may go through the Fire or maybe even seasons of drought, when people see us they will not see lack because God will replenish us and cause us to look as though we are springs whose water supply never fails.
This is powerful and I hope you are catching this. I just want to encourage you to look into the New Year with fresh eyes filled with faith, trust, hope and most importantly possibilities. I will emphasise again that your perception in this 2017 is extremely important because it will play a vital role in how you come out at the end of the year.
Well class of 2017, you have two choices to either graduate with honours or repeat class in 2018.
