“We’re here because my daughter has no voice. She was murdered last week and she was taken from us, shot 9 times on the third floor. We as a country failed our children. This shouldn’t happen.”- Andrew Pollack, father of Meadow Pollack, who was killed in Florida school shooting last week. Via AbcNews
What makes me sad about this whole situation is that I genuinely believe it can and could have been avoided. You can’t get on a plane with water but can get into a school with guns? That is a huge problem and it should concern everyone. This post is not about debating gun control issues but rather about coming together as humanity and admitting there is a flaw somewhere.
I am aware that once God comes into this conversation, many become defensive. But can we honestly examine ourselves and see how our lives and those of our children are daily becoming empty as the world chooses to draw further and further away from God.
Jesus is the answer and has always been the answer for the world, yet we continually choose to deny Him. A fact many fight but can’t be denied is that we need God back in our lives, schools and country etc….
This absolutely breaks my heart, that a father has had to bury his daughter. God, we need you like yesterday. We have pushed God so far out of our lives and the enemy is winning. Let’s get back on our knees and pray for our country, our leaders and more so, our children.
