Awaken and Be Ready for Christ’s Return

Be Ready for Christ’s Return.

“Be ready, be ready is all they ever say and have said for decades….”

This unfortunately is the state of the world and some of the Church today.

Many have given up and gave way to this type of speech.

I know the Bible warns us against making precise predictions about the exact time of Jesus’ return—

but His return is certain, and we may well be living in the last days before He comes again.

The Bible says:

“The night is nearly over; the day is almost here” (Romans 13:12).

I live by this principle “Be ready, Stay ready so you wont have to get ready”.

I know this topic of the return of Christ is now treated as a fairy-tale and some people simply believe it is a joke.

However, I believe now more than ever, we should be a ready bride.

So what does it really mean to be the bride of Christ?

There’s only one requirement to becoming someone’s bride.

You’re scratching your head wondering how, right?

Well – saying “yes” to the proposal of course.

Have you said “yes” to Jesus? Will you be His bride?

As cliché as it sounds, it’s true. All we have to do is say “yes.”

Having a wedding feast is not what makes the marriage.

It takes two people making a commitment to make a relationship to work.

Jesus has already done His part and has His arms wide open, but are you ready for this relationship.

You must have a relationship with the groom (Jesus) and allow the Holy Spirit to transform you into a worthy bride.

So, what motivates you to live a righteous life?

Is it fear of punishment?

Fear of punishment should not be a motivation.

Here is something that will hopefully motivate you.

The Bible pictures us as the bride of Christ. We have been made beautiful by the blood of Christ (Eph 5:25-27), and we, as a betrothed bride, await the day when our husband comes to receive us. It is our duty to be ready for his coming (Mt 25:1-13).

And just as a bride goes to great effort and expense to make herself as beautiful as she can be for her wedding day, so we as the bride of Christ want to be beautiful for our husband when He comes for us. Paul wrote, “I betrothed you to one husband, to present you a pure virgin to Christ.” (2 Cor 11:2; also Phil 1:11; 1 Thess 3:13)

So here’s a motivation to live right today. Your Husband is coming for you. And he might be coming for you today!

Let Him find you ready.

Question of the day?

Are you ready for Christ’s return?

You can be, by turning to Him and putting your faith and trust in Him.

Don’t take His warnings lightly, but commit your life without delay to Jesus Christ.

God bless you
