Proverbs 6 vs 6 – 8
Go to the ant, O sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise. Without having any chief, officer, or ruler, she prepares her bread in summer and gathers her food in harvest.
I love Ants and everything they represent because to me, they are very intelligent little things. Yes, I just said intelligent next to ants and some of you are rolling your eyes thinking how dare you say something so preposterous.
However, just for a moment really think about how ants are small, but smart; Who or what makes them think ‘hey I need to store up food this summer’. That way when winter sets in abt retires to his home and enjoys life. Not many would be willing to sacrifice the glorious summer sun paying the price, In order to enjoy the reward of their hard work.
Ant could have chose to just lounge around a beach all day in the glorious summer heat and not prepare for what’s to come when snow hits in the winter. However ant knew the importance of preparation and as a result of that preparation ant did not starve.
It is important for each and everyone one of us to understand that the only adequate preparation for tomorrow is the wise use of today.
1 Corinthians 9 vs 24
Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it.
We are all in a race but only those who prepare adequately will see the finish line and finish successfully. ‘The secret of success in life is to be ready when the time comes.’
Question: If God gave you everything you’re praying for right now, would you be ready to handle it?
Nothing great is created suddenly; success doesn’t occur overnight. And neither does failure. Each is a process. The fact is, every day of your life is preparation for the next. So the question is what are you preparing for, and how are you preparing?
Are you grooming yourself for success or failure? Only if you’re willing to work hard on the front end, will you reap the rewards on the back end.
