Manchester based indie artist Zion, is set to release his 3rd single of 2018, ‘Calvary’ on the 25th May with a sound that continues to challenge the boundaries of Christian music.
Embodying an atmospheric and rhythmically captivating flow, the new single gives listeners a glimpse into Zion’s creative musical mind and honest yet thought-provoking story-telling ability. Calvary challenges the ‘Christian music’ sound and pushes the concept of how Christian music should be presented. Here’s what Zion had to say about his latest offering:
No matter who you are or what you have done, you are qualified to be a part of God’s family.❤❤

“I wanted to create a sound that I wanted to hear and tell the story of the Cross in a way that made it accessible to people like me. It’s so important to me that my music expresses who I am as a Christian, an artist and a lover of music. I want to hear these kind of stories. I want to hear these kind of sounds.” Zion.
It is always a joy when we are given the privilege to exclusively hear latest offerings from christian artist who are really bringing food of substance to Christian arts. This latest offering from Zion is one of those songs that no matter what walk of life or school of thought you come from, you will appreciate what’s on offer. Our favorite lines in the song go a little something like;
“How did it feel when you left your throne and made earth your home, bet it hurt. How did it feel at the final meal, before you sealed the deal on Calvary?”
We cannot wait for you all to hear this beautiful and thought provoking song. Congratulations Zion, on yet another well put together song and sound that represents the Kingdom well.
Don’ forget it is available from all digital outlets on the 25th of May.
