1 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?
Many times than not people are quick and happy to point out the flaws in other people’s life to make their character seem much better. These same people over magnify everything in others so that they can put themselves in a position of moral superiority.
We have become experts in the art of being selective about which of our actions we choose to scrutinise and correct if at fault. The society we live in is raising the highest level of scholarly achievement at this kind of selective morality. It’s easy for us to deem other people Unworthy where we have a chance to redeem ourself of a lesser evil but what is God saying about us?
Let’s stop to ask ourselves Why? Why do we care? Why do we want to look so good? What’s our problem?
If we are not careful we will lose ourselves and forget our place and fall in the same sin as the serpent who tried to be like God. Let’s not try and take God’s position of power into our own hands. Many people try and want to be like God and don’t even realise that pride coming upon them, be careful not to become that person like Eve or the serpent who wanted to become like God.
Please do not let your judgements and actions be the reason why people fall away from the faith.
Sin, Faith, Duty
17 Jesus said to his disciples: “Things that cause people to stumble are bound to come, but woe to anyone through whom they come.
God bless you
