“I have had enough of the bullying, slapping me about, psychological torture of making me feel like i am worthless. I am tired of being his punching bag and yet smiling to the world as though all is well” is an excerpt from the heartbreaking email amongst the hundreds we receive daily.
Let us have an honest dialogue here.
This woman claims her husband is a “Christian” who ministers the word of God in their local church. His actions to me do not register as someone who truly understands what love is.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 reads;
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
He clearly missed the memo when he was reading his bible. Unfortunately some people in the faith are wolfs in sheep clothing and also hide behind having a form of Godliness but denying its power.Some people play too much church and hide behind religion because they have no relationship with God.
When the power of God truly sets you free, you cannot do what this man is doing. He is lacking the reality of a genuine walk with God. He clearly is a good sales man and can therefore talk a good line, put on a good front, but his motives, thought life, and clearly personal relationship with his wife, he is not a right with God.
I do not advocate for divorce but if your life is in danger, you clearly need to seek counsel from your senior pastors in your local church or maybe from pastors from another church and see how they can help you and the situation you are in.
Lady, you are not a punching bag and certainly not anyone’s door mat to walk all over.
May Psalm 139:14 be the song of your heart every-time you are made to feel worthless.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
God makes no mistakes and you my dear are loved
We stand in prayer with you because we believe God is able to turn what the evil one means for harm for our good.
God bless you
