Throughout the Bible the Lord told His people over and over again “Don’t be afraid or discouraged.” With God on our side we have no reason to fear anything in this world.
Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
We could allow fear to control our will and emotions, or instead, let the peace of God rule our hearts and minds.
Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
Fear can cripple you, as seen in the old testament in Numbers when the Israelite’s allowed fear to cause them to undermine God. God told them to take possession of the land He prepared for them. However, they allowed fear to cripple them and began seeing themselves through the lens of defeat. “We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” Numbers 13:33
Isaiah 41:13 For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.
God is empowering us in Isaiah 41:13 by letting us know that He is holding us by the hand. Refuse to allow fear to keep you from God’s promises for you today. Do not fear any challenges that present themselves. There is a certainty we will face troubles in this life (the bible says when the enemy comes in like a flood and not if the enemy…..) No one including you and I are invincible. However, Romans 8:31 tells us; “What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”
Stop listening to the lies of the enemy because you will almost begin to magnify them and agree with them and therefore believe the Lord is powerless to intervene on your behalf. The fact is there is nothing too big for God.
Be blessed today.
