Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg dies at 87.
US Supreme Court Justice Ginsburg, an iconic champion of women’s rights, has died of cancer at the age of 87.
Tributes have come pouring in for the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg who has died at 87.
“Our Nation has lost a jurist of historic stature. We at the Supreme Court have lost a cherished colleague,”
Chief Justice John Roberts said in a statement announcing Ginsburg’s death at 87 due to complications of metastatic pancreas cancer.
“Today we mourn, but with confidence that future generations will remember Ruth Bader Ginsburg as we knew her—
a tireless and resolute champion of justice,” Roberts added.
Upon hearing about her passing, President Donald Trump told reporters:
“She led an amazing life. Whether you agree or not, she was an amazing woman who led an amazing life. Sad to hear that.”
