Kathy Lee Gifford Reveals Loneliness but Finds Joy in Jesus.

The Emmy Award winning Kathie Lee Gifford has recently revealed the joy she’s found in Jesus Christ amid great loss and immense loneliness in a new “I Am Second” film released Tuesday.

She said: “My biggest struggle at this point of my life is loneliness. I’ve lost my parents, my husband is gone now and my children live far away from me,” she also spoke in the nine-minute video. “I still live in the same big house where we made a gazillion million memories. And there are times when I am overwhelmed by loneliness.”

The TODAY co-anchor said that it’s in those moments she reminds herself of the blessing of life that she still has.

Today you may be feeling lonely, but I want to encourage you to remember that even Jesus understands the full breadth of human loneliness because he himself experienced it. But the hope in Christ is that, he stays with us when no one else will. His love penetrates deep into our hearts so that we never feel alone. Isaiah 43:1-5 says;

“Do not be afraid. I will save you. I have called you by name—you are mine. When you pass through deep waters, I will be with you; your troubles will not overwhelm you. When you pass through fire, you will not be burned; the hard trials that come will not hurt you. For I am the Lord, your God. … because you are precious to me and because I love you and give you honor, do not be afraid—I am with you!”
