Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.[a]
“When our own thinking has the upper mind, we interpret everything with soulish logic. We look at our own resources and the scale of the problem in front of us, and we make a rational intelligent judgment of our chances of pulling it off. If the circumstances look too huge and awesome, we will not even attempt the matter. We will be like the ten spies who returned from spying in Canaan. We will give an ‘evil report’ of what the opposition is like and of our chances of victory. However, when we are moving in faith regarding God’s ability, we put a different complexion on things. Like Joshua and Caleb, we will give a report that is full of regard for the anointing of God, even at our own expense.” Graham Cooke
Is it not amazing how many times we recite these scriptures but when the time to apply them comes we are doubtful Thomas’ who are quick to trust in our own strength and lean to our own understanding. This year I made it my personal challenge to really trust God with everything. When I left work to start my own business I didn’t even know how bills will get paid but I was in full trusting mode of Gods ability in my life and He has shown up in a grand way.
My heart is absolutely dancing for joy because my perspective this year has been transformed. l remember reading a story of a woman who was in a similar situation to mine and she was talking about getting to that place where nothing will do but “Faithing” it 200%. Through my “Faithing” it, I have also made it a priority to praise and worship like never before whether things have gone good or bad. I began panicking end of last year as i battled with my health, family and work responsibilities. Every circumstance just seemed so dim and Goliath looked so huge. I remember David and his rock as my praise and worship became my rock.
When I started to see everything in perspective, I realised that there was nothing too hard for God. Just as he showed up and defeated the philistines, help the children of Israel cross the sea then there was no situation in my life that He couldn’t fix.
I don’t know what Giant you are facing today, but rest assured that God is in the storm. Don’t allow you limited understanding to cause you to doubt His ability. Trust in the Lord.
God bless you,
