Proverbs 18:16 “A mans gift makes room for him, and bringeth him before great men.”

God has put a gift or talent in every person that the world will make room for. It is this gift that will enable you to fulfill your vision.

It will make a way for you in life. It is in exercising this gift that you will find real fulfillment, purpose, and contentment in your work.

It is interesting to note that the Bible does not say that a man’s education makes room for him (not putting down education merely trying to make a point), but that his gift does.

Whilst Stephen Currys gift had taken him before great men, I find it inspiring that he has used his platform and gifting to also glorify Jesus and share his faith. He has really grasped;

Luke 9.26 “Whoever will be ashamed of me and of my words, of that one will The Son of Man be ashamed whenever he comes in the glory of his Father with his Holy Angels.”

“My relationship with Jesus Christ started around middle school. My parents had is in church every Sunday, every Wednesday. It was more of a tradition at that point.

“I didn’t have a personal relationship with the Lord until one altar call on Sunday, and the youth pastor told us we needed to make a decision for ourselves. We couldn’t rely on our parents. It had to be a decision on our own, and that’s when I made it.”

“There are so many things that we have to overcome in life, and Jesus – His work on the cross – He’s paid the ultimate price for us. So, I’m proud to be a child of God.

“I think the hardest thing I had to deal with was battling through injury, especially, just starting out in my basketball career. To begin with injuries is a tough thing, especially when you’re going through surgeries and this and that. So it was definitely a down period in my life – a point when I didn’t know how, what the outcome would be – and one that also drew me closer to Christ.

“I try to use each and every game as an opportunity to witness. I do a little signal every time I make a shot – the way to kind of just preach the message in little ways that I can. Each game is an opportunity to be on a great stage and to be a witness for Christ. (CBN)

It really is encouraging to see him trying his best to live for God’s glory. Let this be an encouragement to us all.

God bless you
