Let Us Continue or Begin to Pray for Our Pastors like Never Before
It is always sad when a loved one dies, but that pain and hurt can even be harder to comprehend and deal with when it is a suicide. Members of Inland Hills Church in Chino, California, are now grappling with grief after their lead pastor, Andrew Stoecklein, who was only 30 years old; succumbed to self-inflicted injuries Saturday after a battle with depression and anxiety, his church said.
In an announcement on Facebook, late Sunday, part of the statement released by Stocklein’s Church read: “Inland Hills Church grieves with heavy hearts as our Lead Pastor Andrew Stoecklein was welcomed into Heaven on Saturday night after battling depression and anxiety. It’s not the outcome we hoped and prayed for, and today we grieve as a church family,”. According to the Church, Stoecklein was a loving husband, father, son, and friend and their statement read that that the late pastor will continue to inspire them in leading others into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ,”. Stoecklein leaves behind a wife and 3 sons. May we keep them in our prayers.
Ephesians 6:18 In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.
