‘Empowered By Easter’ is the new contemporary-gospel 6 track EP from music ministry EmpoweredByOne featuring vocalist Rachel Francis-Nweke, set for release March 2nd. The EP consists of 4 original songs and 2 revamped hymns which collectively encourage the listener to, “live in the freedom and love that Christ sacrificed His life to give us.”
Dr. Warren King, the man behind the ‘EmpoweredBy’ movement enlisted talented vocalist and friend, Rachel Francis-Nweke, to collaborate on the project of which he says,
“Easter is more than just chocolate eggs and bunnies, it’s about living in freedom! Christ dying and leaving the earth means that we can live in love. He gave the ultimate sacrifice, there is no greater love.”
The EP’s message of freedom is reflected lyrically but also musically. The decision to include contemporary, dance, gospel styles, and old classic hymns was deliberate to express no limitations by labels or genres but just freedom to create sounds that capture the spirit of the message of each song.
Lead track, ‘Giver of Life’, is a stripped back, emotionally charged, contemporary song co-written by Warren, Rachel, and award winning producer Goz-I-Am (Emeli Sandé, Israel Houghton, YolanDa Brown). About the track Warren said,
“’Giver of Life’ explains everything that this EP means to us. It starts off by calling His name Sovereign Redeemer. It’s about how he restores us, comforts us when we’re broken, and gives us everything we need to live free in Him.”
“This EP will give people the freedom to live for real. To do life for real. Not just the traditional or legalistic Christian expression but authentic faith in this modern age. We need to fully embrace the freedom we have in Christ. Church is the one place you shouldn’t have to fake to fit in!” added Warren.
‘Empowered By Easter’ will be available on iTunes, Amazon, and Spotify from 2nd March 2018. For more information visit http://smarturl.it/wdxplc
