In order to achieve notable and praiseworthy things, you have to be a person who is willing to leave your comfort zone and be stretched to your maximum capacity. You have to be willing to sometimes pack up and not look back without hesitation. The same radical commitment is most times required when doing Kingdom work.
Luke 9:62New International Version (NIV)
62 Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.”
Serving is easy and unburden-some when you have your mind set right. Serving only becomes a burden when your priorities are not set right. You cannot be about the Fathers business and be double minded and you certainly cannot be lukewarm because you simply can’t serve two masters at once.
When Jesus ‘called people; He said, “If people want to follow me, they must give up the things they want. They must be willing even to give up their lives”’ (Mark 8:34 NCV). No half-measures, but a willingness to follow Him full-time.
When you make a decision to follow Christ, you have to stay focused and move forward. You literally cannot put your hand to the plough and look behind because you become useless for the kingdom of God.’
Making a decision to let Jesus lead in your life means forgetting the past and whatever is back there, stays back there – old attachments that cause you to have slip ups have to be left behind and any lifestyles displeasing has to be hanged up.
Stop looking back, your sins are and were forgiven. Don’t let the gravitational pull of past failure, guilt, fear, shame, betrayal, loss, abuse, rejection, resentment, and unforgiveness ruin your future. Cut the that cancer, cut that ambilical cord that has you bound. You are and were set free; The Son set you free and you are indeed free.
God bless you all
