When storms are raging in life it can  sometimes feel like the whole world has caved in on us. More often than not, many of us without knowing are defeated before the battle is even fought because of our mindset. When going through troubled waters how you come out can be traced back to your words and thoughts.

Prayer is a dialogue and remember the bible says out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Therefore those thoughts and words that you speak influence your day and outcomes. Therefore it is important to pray the scriptures and here are some powerful scriptures to incorporate within your prayers.

  1. You are safe with God.
God is our shelter and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.– Psalm 46:1 (GNTD)
  2. God is in control.
He calmed the raging storm, and the waves became quiet.– Psalm 107:29 (GNTD)
  3. God will rescue you.
The righteous call to the Lord, and he listens; he rescues them from all their troubles.– Psalm 34:17 (GNTD)
  4. Always trust in God as your protector.
Whoever goes to the Lord for safety, whoever remains under the protection of the Almighty, can say to him, “You are my defender and protector. You are my God; in you I trust.”– Psalm 91:1-2 (GNTD)
  5. God will give you strength.
But his answer was: “My grace is all you need, for my power is greatest when you are weak.” I am most happy, then, to be proud of my weaknesses, in order to feel the protection of Christ’s power over me.– 2 Corinthians 12:9 (GNTD)

Remember the future is one day at a time therefore use it to think and speak good things and conquer. The bible teaches us that as a man thinks, so is he.

God bless,

I’m a christian and I’m proud
