It is not easy being in the military, believe me I should know and certainly do know from first hand experience. As a spouse of an ex veteran I can tell you that life can be chaotic. But in all that chaos, being still and knowing that God has got us and having the assurance that He was the ultimate life saver was comforting. Every time i hear this song, it reminds me of the long periods of separation from my husband when he was away. However, knowing that there is no God like Jehovah is what kept me going.
Our service men and women make huge sacrifices for our safety and the spouses too have to make so many sacrifices by being okay with service members missing all the special stuff like birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, or gasp….the birth of your child. (It can and does happen) and almost happened to us. It is very important that we continuously pray for our service men and women.
Lord we pray that You continue to protect each and every one of our men and women on the front lines, and You bring comfort and peace to their families.
Psalm 27:4 One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
