You Are My Father God is the thirteenth song to be shared by Homegrown Worship.
As one of the most stripped back and vulnerable Homegrown productions, the song carries a simple praying petitioning God to be with us in the midst of our struggles. The melodic motif from the verse is introduced by the baritone ukulele on which all of the Homegrown songs so far have been written with accompaniment from from a range of electronic and orchestral samples.

The story behind the the song
This song was me taking an impossible situation to God. I’m telling him that I’m scared and I need him to hold me. I’m expressing my pain and the difficulties I’m facing but also speaking out the truth that I hold to. There is a place I call home in his embrace and though storm might not have passed, his arms offer shelter for me.
