Christian Fox Sports 1 analyst Chris Broussard slammed a suggestion by televangelist T.D. Jakes as “offensive” and unbiblical.
This comes after Jakes implied if the unverified allegations against him were true, all he has to do is repent.
Chris Broussard took to Instagram citing Scripture from Titus and said;
“I didn’t like the way he handled the situation at his church that first Sunday after the allegations were made. He said something to the effect of if he did commit these things, … all he’d have to do is repent and plead the blood and all that, and he’d be forgiven,”
Broussard has shared his thoughts roughly two weeks after T.D. Jakes, addressed his congregation on Christmas Eve about these unverified reports.
In the unverified report it alleges that the televangelist hides his sexuality and accusing him of participating in sex parties hosted by music mogul Sean Combs.
Interestingly Larry Reid took to his live broadcast to suggest that T.D Jakes has another Law Suit coming in two weeks.
Reid has been outspoken about Jakes and gone to the extent of suggesting his certainty on his sexuality.
Larry Reid has claimed T.D. Jakes camp offered half a million dollars to stop him talking, which he declined.
In his live broadcast Reid dropped another shocking claim about a 15 year old boy who was allegedly groomed by Jakes.
What is interesting is that regardless of Reid speaking on Jakes, he has not been sued.
1 Timothy 3:2 says; A bishop MUST be a man whose life is above reproach. He must be faithful to his wife. He must exercise self-control, live wisely, and have a good reputation. He must enjoy having guests in his home, and he must be able to teach.
Chris Broussard said;
“I’m not saying he’s guilty, Bishop Jakes….”
‘…..Any pastor found guilty of sexual misconduct should repent and be removed from their office….’
‘….My concern is the Body of Christ and how to hold pastors accountable to the Word of God,’.
Jakes is a 66-year-old married father and grandfather and a well-known figure in the Christian community for decades.
Hence the concerns from many such as Chris Broussard.
