Bishop T.D. Jakes recently addressed and denied allegations of sexual misconduct at wild parties hosted by rapper and music producer Sean ‘Puffy’ Combs, aka Diddy.
The recent alleged gay sex scandal has caused an uproar all over Social media causing many to juxtapose T.D. Jakes’ alleged behaviour with that of the Late Bishop Eddie Long, who was also accused similarly.
On Christmas Eve service with the support of his family, he called the accusers “liars,” according to a video of the service posted on the church’s website. T.D. Jakes added that even “if everything was true, all I got to do is repent sincerely from my heart.”
A spokesperson for bishop T.D. Jakes also released a statement that called the Diddy allegations false.
“Recent claims circulating on pockets of social media about Bishop T.D. Jakes are unequivocally false and baseless,” Jordan A. Hora, executive director of public relations and communications for the T.D. Jakes Group, T.D. Jakes Ministries and The Potter’s House, told The Christian Post in an exclusive statement.
Although Bishop Jakes is the subject of these unverified reports on social media, Many have argued that there is no smoke without fire.
So what is my opinion? Let us get into it.
I am all for repentance but will leave you all with 1 Timothy 3:1-5 which reads;
A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; one that oversees well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;
(For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)
