Russell Brand Says Reading the Bible Is Important to Him.
In a recent social media video, he shares that he finds Christianity and Jesus Christ increasingly important as he grows older and desires a “personal relationship with God.”
Speaking on why he wears a cross he shared;
“The reason I wear a cross is that Christianity and, in particular, the figure of Christ is, it seems to me, inevitably becoming more important as I become more familiar with suffering, purpose, self, and not-self,”
The 48-year-old actor said that he has been “reading the Bible a lot more,” as well as Rick Warren’s The Purpose-Driven Life.
He said when he was growing up, Christianity appeared to him either “really irrelevant and old-fashioned and sort of dusty,”
or too modernized. Both those routes, he said, did not appeal to him when he was younger.
Brand said;
“And I suppose it takes a certain amount of adulthood and it might be different for all of us. But for me, it seems that it’s taken quite a lot to recognize that you need, I need, a personal relationship with God.”
“It occurred to me that if instead of always talking to myself inwardly, I could replace one of those voices with an indwelling God,” he said. “It says in Galatians, it is our job to die so that as Christ died on the cross he might be reborn in us.”
“I’m very interested to hear what you think because for me, my heart is open,”
Brand said as he invited his followers to let him know what they thought in the comments.
The Harvest Is Plentiful!
While there is a massive expose going on within the body of Christ, there is also a shift taking place.
As the high and mighty are humbled, those with the right heart and motive are being raised.
As 2024 sees massive shifts and disruptions, these changes will drive some people back to God-church.

Leaders that God has hidden in incubation should get ready to hatch.
Continue to position yourselves in a place prayer and readiness to embrace.
2024 and beyond will see people from all walks of life come,
the uncompromised truth with anointing will be preached and we will speak life.
Allow the Holy Spirit to change them, chains will be broken not through our own power.
Do not forsake the gathering of the saints, we are that lighthouse on a city hill.
While many fall away from a truth they have always known, the fear of God will begin to come into the hearts of many too.
We are that place where they will come looking for safety.
Let us prepare, walk with God like never before because God is beckoning.
